About us.

Driven by a shared enthusiasm for early music, La Speciosa draws inspiration from things which connect audiences today with music from the past: stories, landscapes, and emotions. Our musicians are specialists in historical performance, and their artistic capabilities as both soloists and ensemble members intertwine to create fresh and dynamic interpretations of Renaissance and Early Baroque music. La Speciosa is flexible in formation, adapting to repertoire in both size and instrumentation, offering programmes both purely instrumental and in mixed settings with singers.

Our founders.

Meeting at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in 2020, Emily Saville und Noemi Müller have since shared concert stages across Europe, from St Mark’s Basilica in Venice, to the small island of Marstrand on the west coast of Sweden. Upon completion of their studies, their shared energy and enthusiasm led them to found La Speciosa in 2026.
